This book is a guidebook for basic listening courses, which is quoted and adapted from Student’s Book of New Headway English Course for Elementary and Pre-Intermediate levels by John and Liz Soars published by Oxford University Press in 2004. Only listening materials were taken from the books. The reason for undertaking and adapting the books were because the books were considered to have material on listening skills that were very suitable for teaching listening to students who already have fairly good basic listening skills.
In addition, other sources are used as additional sources of information that are deemed necessary to help the student material. The additional information is expected to be able to direct students to knowledge about the material used in basic listening courses.
Finally, it is hoped that this book can help the learning process of basic listening courses, even though it is realized that this book is not completely perfect. Therefore, constructive criticism and suggestions are highly expected for the sake of improvement and the creation of a better next book.
